Coatings

For coating M.S. portions against corrosion
1. For all
P.C.C & R.C.C. concreting, use super plasticizer Considering 6" R.C.C, M 20
concrete
dosage 200ml per bag of cement.
Cost per Sq.ft. for addition Rs.0.75
2. After
casting bottom P.C.C., apply two coats of R.W.I.P.
Allow 24 hrs to dry, then place reinforements and cast bottom
R.C.C.
3. For all
external/Internal plastering use I.W.P. 200ml per Considering 6" R.C.C.,
m 20 concrete
bag of cement. Cement, sieved fine sand in proportion 1:3.

4. Before
casting fresh concrete on earlier concrete cement Cost
per Sq.ft. Rs.0.25
slurry is spread. Prepare
cement slurry with Hycrete RJ - 608
to eliminate cold set cracks.
5. After
casting vertical lintels & plastering.
Coat two coats
Cost per Sq.ft. Rs.5.00
of Rubberised Instant Water Proof Coating, externally.
6. Cold set
cracks :
(i) Generally occur at 4" height in vertical lintels.
Since shuttery ply is 8" X 4", hence please note
"Shuttering - Steps" height which is critical.
(ii) At vertical junction of two vertical sides.
(iii) At junction of horizontal and vertical sides, these points are
inherently weak spots for seepage.
Make holes 1" diameter and 2" deep, fix 1" diameter socket
above these holes using Insta Plug
Mortar. Grout cement slurry with Rapid Grout.
7.
Use 1"
diameter , 5' height, G I pipe, screw pipe on the socket and pour cement slurry
using Rapid
Grout till saturation grouting. For
vertical lintels this procedure must be done after internal and
external plastering is done, but before coating external surface
with R.I.W.P.
8. After
saturation grouting, knock off the sockets, and plug grouting holes with
Strextra NSG - 110.
9. In case
of water treatment plants use Corrosion Protect, Cost
per sq ft Rs. 0.25
1 kg per bag of cement with I.W.P. for internal plaster. If pure
cement finish is being provided use 1 kg Corrosion Protect per
50 kg cement.
9A. For
Swimming Pools use Tile Fix # 1 for fixing Tile on the Cost
per sq ft Rs. 2.00

10. Seal Tile Joints with Tile Joint Sealer. Cost per sq ft Rs. 0.20
