Conventional
tile laying procedure comprises of rough cement plaster and placing of tiles on
this rough screed by cement-tappa and levelling by ‘line don’ method. This
is time consuming method. The
cement tappa leaves large voids below tiles, if tile joint
or tile-sandhas
loosen or
come off water collects in
these voids, soaking up entire sunken pit and leading to leakage. In this method
cement waste is very high.
Tiles Fix # 1 is
a special formulation
, factory prepared using
carefully selected
adhesives & graded raw materials for laying tiles
(ceramic, glazed, marble or granite).
Here the cement
mortar screed
must be spread with
zero-finish to obtain uniform
level surface. Allow 12/24 hours for this screed to harden.
Add
Tile Fix # 1 to water to bring it to uniform paste consistency,
apply 2mm-3mm
Tile
Fix #1 can be used for fixing
ceramic tiles, granite tiles, marble tiles, glazed tiles on existing facades
without hacking. It can be used for fixing ceramic tiles directly on
mosaic tiles
without hacking
or removing
mosaic tiles.
Tile Fix #1
is most effective for bathrooms,
swimming pools, basements etc.
Since Tile Fix #1 forms
continous impermeable
layer below tiles it
guarantees against seepage. The specific gravity of Tile Fix #1 is in the range
of 2.6. It has no shrinkage on setting and hence ensures
high bond
strength.
Tile Fix #
1 is most
suitable for
kitchen tiles
laying, hospitals
& hotels
where continous adhesive layer of Tile Fix # 1
below tiles ensures no voids below tiles
and hence eliminates algae
& bacteria
below tiles. This feature of Tile Adhesive is most vital for hospitals
particularly I.C.U’s, or infact for entire hospital tiling.
For
fixing very large granite slabs, marble slabs on vertical walls, use Anchorex
with Tile Fix #1. Mix half Ltr Anchorex with
gauging water
for 25 Kgs of Tile Fix #1, mix well
till paste
of uniform
consistency is
obtained, apply as usual. Use applicator provided with Tile Fix #1 for
uniform application.
Approximately
3-4 square
feet of tiling can be done
per Kgs of Tile Fix #1. Seal tile joints with our Tile Joint Sealer.
