Retarder
SPRMC – 710 is liquid
admixture which retards the setting
time of cement. Besides it is also a powerful
plasticizer. This unique combination of retarder-cum-plasticizer does away with
double admixture of
retarder + plasticizer where
both features
are necessary.
Retarders without
plasticizers are
also available.
Retarder
SPRMC-710 Grade of retarder
plasticizer is essential for: -
1) Ready mix concrete plants where long haulage of ready mix mortar is required, Besides retarding, Retarder SPRMC – 710 give cohesive & uniform mix.
2)
Concreting in arid climate
where temperatures above 40º – 55º Celsius are
encountered.
3) For large duration of time between pouring and compaction or when large volume of ready mix concreting is in progress to prevent cold joints.
4)
If impaction and vibration
to concrete is intended to be transmitted via vibration to
reinforced
steel which
could
reduce
bond
between
shell
and
initially
poured
concrete.
5)
Combined features of retardation
and plasticizer are found most useful to pump concrete over long
distances.
6)
Retarder SPRMC –710 disperses
cement by electrostatic forces augmenting
mechanical mixing, ensuring speedy, uniform, cohesive & homogenous
mix.
It
is dark
coloured liquid
with density around 1.3,
harmless to handle and long shelf life if stored away from sunlight.
Retarder
SPRMC-710 can be used with any
kind of cement. However it is recommended that trails and tests be
carried out
before use
to establish
input-output parameters for
design mixes.
Retarder SPRMC-710 is free of
chlorides and sulphates and
hence has no deleterious effect on reinforcements etc.

– 200 ml Retarder SPRMC - 710 per 50
Kg cement is found to
delay setting by + 2 hours. Greater dosages
may be
used depending
upon water cement ratio,
aggregates, setting time desired, required final strength, slump value
requirements etc. It is mixed with gauging water, which is added to the mix.
Retarder
SPRMC-710 shows
profound retardation
in setting
time of
cement, enhances
workability, possesses high
wetting properties,
hence reduces segregation, increases ultimate strength, enhances concrete
bonding to steel reinforcements.
