PL – 256
Concrete poles,
telecommunication-poles or fencing poles are most economically made from
concrete. Cement, sand, stone dust & metal-grits are used. The concrete is
poured into metal
moulds where
the steel
reinforcement is
already placed. The moulds are vibrated
or compacted & de-moulded
after 24 hours. The “green-poles” are placed into curing tank for 10-25 days
for curing.
PL-256 is specifically
developed for pole manufacturing industry. Following advantages are ensured
using PL-256 in preparing cement mortar.
1)
Improved cement distribution is achieved. The cement distribution is
generally achieved by mechanical mixing. With PL-256 the electro-chemical forces
ensures much faster distribution of cement through out the entire mix.
2)
The cohesiveness of the concrete is greatly increased,
3)
Workability & Plasticity of the concrete is enchanced, improving
compaction & improved finish of the poles.
4)
Due to higher compaction, improved cement distribution, increased
cohesiveness, the cube strength will be higher, hence allowing reduction in
cement.
5)
The impermeability coefficient of the concrete will be greater by
100-1000 units.
6)
PL-256 will reduce breakages at de-moulding stage, reduce curing period
& ensures poles are of adequate strength after 10 days of curing, hence
increasing productivity if curing tank capacity is a production limiting factor.
Due to all these factors the cost per pole will be considerably reduced
if PL-256 is used, rejections are reduced, & improved finish, high quality
poles can be manufactured without any defects.
To improve surface finish & ensure easy-smooth release we recommed
use of our Shutter-Coat-Metal as release agent for moult coating.
Prepare concrete as usual, add gauging water holding back 4-5 ltrs. Add
PL-256
150 ml- 200 ml per 50 kgs cement to this water. Add it last. Mix for 1-2
minutes & pour concrete into moulds as usual.
PL-256 reduces production cost per pole, eliminates breakages at
demoulding stage, at curing stage. Due to higher strength, breakages during
transportation is eliminated. The profitability in concrete pole manufacturing
is increased by using only 150ml – 200 ml PL-256 per bag of cement.
If the mould filling is interrupted during mould filling
operation due to power failure, use Hycrete RJ-608 to ensure better bonding
between earlier mould fill & subsequent pour.
